That's why I avoid being seen going into that dreaded store whenever humanly possible. However, today was a little different, my eyebrow place just happens to be right next to that said "dreaded store." And after I found out my place was booked, I had some time on my hands, and the Dollar Tree was calling my name.
I faced my fear and walked in. As soon as I did, I saw some pretty amazing items. There was a bunch of chocolate. It wasn't even off-brand! There were Hershey's and Reese's and etc. Even more appealing was the craft aisle. There were so many things I could use for my class! There were beads, and pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, cotton balls, thread, yarn, anything you could think of! I ended up getting a lot of really cool stuff. But guess how much it cost? A dollar! ( a DOLLA? For you fellow Lizzza fans ;))
As soon as I got home, I texted a handful of friends and made plans to go to the Dollar Tree with them and shop for silly crafts and then make them together. They all thought it was crazy, but I convinced them it would be a blast. I'd also love to take my boyfriend's little brothers, give them ten dollars each, and watch them go crazy. It would make their day.
I think going to the Dollar Tree could be a really good date/ girls day/ bonding time with a little kid.
So today I learned that something that seems so "untrendy" can actually be really fun. Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone -- and when you do, you may find something really new and exciting.
